JAMAICAN SIZZLES IN SLED-DOG RACE

A Jamaican sled-dog racer has taken part in Europe's largest husky racing event.

Devon Anderson, 42, who had never seen snow before, travelled to the Cairngorms to compete alongside 220 teams in the Aviemore Sled Dog
Rally.

Mr Anderson and his four-dog team finished 27th out of 40 competitors, with a time of 45 minutes, 51 seconds, around the Loch Morlich course.

A spokeswoman for the event said Mr Anderson had done really well.

The event included more than 1,000 dogs pounding the ground over the weekend....
