AVIEMORE, Scotland : A Jamaican sled-dog racer who had never seen snow and a team of mongrels rescued from a dog pound are poised for Europe's biggest husky racing event.

Devon Anderson, 42, and his four-dog team, dubbed "welfare dogs," will compete against 220 other teams and more than 1,000 dogs beginning Saturday at Aviemore, Scotland...."
